Pray for Chile!!!

Oh my God!!! This is so sad. And I was really freaking out today too,
because my very good friend Valeria, just moved to Chile 2 months ago.
However, from what I know she is ok. I hope her family is safe as
well. I know that there is defenitely power outage and phone lines are
down, which makes it hard to stay in touch in such a hard time.
Valeria, I'm praying for you, your family, friends, and Chilean people.

The outcome

Hi everyone! Just stopping by to show you the outcome of the vlog on
how to curl your hair. I did the old Hollywood curls paired with red
lips. I thought it came out pretty well. My hair is about past
shoulder length, so curling it makes it look more put together, than
just straightening it.
And we had snow day again! There is so much snow everywhere and I'm
the only one who showed up to work. Which kind of sucks, it's really
boring, but at least I get my stuff done:)

Bare Minerals tutorial.

Hi guys!!!

So today I will be doing a tutorial on how to use Bare Minerals. It's basicaly 3 easy steps that you can take to perfect looking skin. This stuff covers up everything! I got my kit about one year ago and was always planning on doing the before and after, but it's a little bit uncomfortable to put myself here without any cover up. My skin is not even close to being good. But I guess, not everyone is perfect:)

So, let's start!!!


This is the kit I got. I picked out it in FAIR color to best match my skin tone. What's really good about this kit is that it comes with two foundations: a lighter one for winter and darker one for summer:). Bare Minerals starter kit is available at Sephora or online. It come with 2 foundations, warmth powder, mineral veil powder, foundation primer, and 3 useful brushes. And the total cost for this kit is $60 + Tax.


ok, so this is the most difficult part. As you can see in the picture "BEFORE", my face is covered with little red dots (blemishes).

LETS DO IT STEP BY STEP:


1) The first thing that I do in the morning is wash my face. I use either my "Pimple&Blemish Soap" by Christine Valmy or "Epicuren" apricot facial scrub. The reason why I put both of them, is because I use the scrub 3 times a week. The rest of the week I use the soap. After I washed my face I apply "Valnel" moisturizer, also from Christine Valmy. This moisturizer gives my skin that extra moisture and it also serves as an anti-bacterial protection along with the SPF.


2) Next step is to wash your hands and make sure your brushes are clean. You do not want to use dirty brushes. Bacteria GROWS on those. Especially on concealer brushes.
I use bare minerals brushes a lot. They are very soft!
These 3 brushes are (from top):

Full Flawless face brush

Maximum Coverage Concealer brush


3) Next, I apply my foundation primer, foundation, warmth powder, and mineral veil.
I use 3 simple steps to do that:
SWIRL a small amount of Bare Minerals foundation in the lid with the concealer brush, TAP off any excess, and cover up those dark circles under my eyes, blemishes, brown sun spots. Then, I use Flawless application brush swirl it in the foundation, tap away excess, and lightly buff it into my face. Then I use the Warmth (with Full Flawless brush) in the same way: SWIRL, TAP, and BUFF (circular motions) but only on the parts of my face where the sun is hitting it: cheek bones, nose, chin, upper lip, and forehead. After that I follow with the Mineral veil and Full Flawless brush: SWIRL, TAP, and BUFF. The Mineral veil finishes up the look. It also minimizes pores (you may use the mineral veil as many times per day as you wish). Picture that's labeled "Middle" is the finishing look after I apply Mineral veil.


4)Next I do eyes, and lips. First I prime my eyes with PRIME TIME primer, let it dry for like 30seconds. Then, apply mineral eyeshadow, followed by Boxom Lash Mascara in Blackest Black.


This is the mascara brush up close. It's like a little comb for lashes.

And we are done!!! The lip gloss on the AFTER picture in not really my color, but I wanted to use all Bare Minerals products, so I had to stick to this one. It usually takes me about ten minutes to do all of this (including washing my face). Once you get use to it, you will be very quick!

Never too young to read Lauren's book!!! Good girls rock!!!

Yes!!! I got mine at Target with 30% off, so it was only $13. My
question is: is this like the next chapter of her first book? Because
I didn't read the first one. And typicaly this is not my type of
reading but I want to give it another try.( I tried reading
Confessions of a shopaholic... And it didn't work out. So we shall see).

MAKE UP HAUL / REVIEW

Hello!
Today I will do another makeup haul/review. I don't know why, but lately I enjoy doing beauty related posts. I'm not going to lie, I use a lot of products. And therefore, I would like to share my thoughts on them. Some of the products listed I like and some I don't. I do not want to say that they are bad,because it's kind of harsh; maybe they just don't work for me. So, you can either take my advise or not. It is totally up to you guys.

I will start with the stuff that I like:

MAC eyeshodows: the pink one is more of a fuchsia color and is called " Stars 'n' Rockets",

and the other one is "Satin Taupe", which is my new favorite color!

Also an eyeliner in "Teddy", I honestly think that this is the color of eyeliner that everyone should owe, it's perfect for day time.

These are the swatches of eyeshadows and eyeliner.

This is a kit that I got from Bare Minerals.

1) Prime Time eyelid primer. OMG!!! this thing is amazing! I used it and my eyeshadow did not crease for more than 10 hours. This is one of the items that I will be repurchasing:)

2) Lipgloss in iced champagne. It's ok, not as good as my favorite KORRES lipgloss, though.

3) Boxom lash mascara in blackest black. I like the brush, it helps to declump lashes, however, I'm still in love with Lancome Virtuose mascara. It will be my most favorite mascara for a long time.

4)Rare Minerals facial moisturizer. Ok this one smells really bad. I know it smells like herbs, but it's not my smell. Thats why I said that not all products are bad, some of them just don't work for me.

5) Faux tan matte. This product has a bronzer sort of consistency. I like it because it is one of those bronzers that leave my face shine free.

I also bought more of the gel eyeliners. I really like my coastal scents eyeliners. So, I added two more to their family:Indigo Blue(all the way on the right) and Boom Boom brown (in the middle).

The one on the left is from the newest Maybelline Eyestudio line in eggplant. It is too translucent and takes few layers to bring it to it's real color. Therefore, it's good, but time consuming.

Mineral eyeshadows by ELF and by bare minerals. Both eyeshadows are great. The ELF one costs only $3. It's soo worth it! They are the same quality!!!

More ELF products.

1) 2 of the Sugar Kiss shimmer eye dusts. They come in one package and I believe are $1 for both of them. The name on the package is "Ice Skate". I used the pink one on Valentine's day during daytime and it gave my eyes extra sparkle:)

2)ELF Brightening eye color in Brownstone. This quad is perfect for neutral everyday look.

3)Duo eye shadow cream in olive. I'm not sure how to use this. When I used it alone, it creased 5 minutes later. I will see if there are other ways to use it.

4) 2 liquid eyeshadows in Sultry Satin and Mocha Madness. $1 each, which is great, and I use them as eyeliners.

Sephora palette. It has eyeshadows, lip colors, 3 blushes, and powder. I do not like this palette at all. I can only use 2 eyeshadows from this entire thing. They are dry, chunky, and messy. It was a gift and I don't feel bad about spending $ on it, but now I don't really know what to do with it. Keep or toss???

Sephora by OPI nail polish in Brainiac. It is very matte and looks dull. In the bottle the color looks bright and vibrant, but on nails it reminds me of that dull orange color from the '70s. So, I'm not happy with it. And it takes forever to dry. I own many other colors from this line and I love them all, but this one... something is wrong.

Ok, I'm done. I hope you guys didn't die from boredom. And hopefully some of you will find useful information from this post.

I was tagged by Jess to do 10 things that make me happy post. It took me a while to pick the top ten things, bacause in reality, a lot of things make me happy. I actually think of myself as a happy person. And hopefully my friends think so too;)
So let's do this:
1) Morning kiss that I get from my boyfriend every morning before he goes to work:)

4) The easy feeling I get every time I finish my mile run.

6) This one is very materialistic, but it is what it is: SHOES
7) Waking up early after a good night sleep.

9) Staying on top of my school work! Truly amazing feeling!!!
10) Clean bed sheets! If I could, I would change my sheets every day!

What's in my bag?

Hello everyone! It feels like it's been forever since I posted a normal post, meaning a non mobile post. I don't really know the reason, but I guess, it's because I haven't had that much stuff to blog about. However, today, I was tagged to do what's in my bag post.
I'm currently using an H&M bag that was $25, and I thought that it would last me like a month and I would move on to something else. But no, not this one. I've had it since September and it's still in a pretty good condition. Plus, I get at least three compliments on it per week. So, I haven't changed it since I got it.



Now, in my bag I have a lot of things, but yet not as many as other girls have. I don't know, but for some reason most girls that I know, have a lot of stuff in their bags. Some of them even have back problems because of the weight. Anyway, here is whats in my bag:

I will start from left: leather gloves ( I just got these at Annie Sez, Michael Kors), iPhone, 2 packs of gum - one sweet, one minty, cosmetic bag, calculator, pencil/pen case ( I love it! it's from Furla and I've had it for about 3-4 years now), my Ray Bans, reading glasses, wallet, Kleenex tissues, Wisk tooth brushes (I use them at work after lunch. I work in the dentist office), Victoria's Secret Very Sexy lip balm, car keys, Christmas bracelet that I got from my lil brother, chapstick, and AT&T business card.
And thats it!!!
Now in my cosmetic bag, I have more! I don't use all of these things every day, but for some reason I sleep better if they are there..lol

Again, I will start from the left: E.L.F. brow gel (IT'S A DOLLAR!!!), Brite Smile teeth whitening thing, MAC paint pot lid primer, 3 MAC eye shadows (Patina, Club, Shale), Dior moisturazing cream, Smashbox bronzer, bronzer brush, Tweezerman tweezers, Lancome mascara (Virtuose), Smashbox glittery lipgloss, Loreal Colour Riche lip gloss, Aerie kiss soft gloss (yammy!!), Good Skin lipstick (cinnamon stick 03), Maybelline lipstick (pink me up), Blistex lip ointment, MAC lipstick (pretty please), and Sephora concealer in the lightest color.
So, there it is, my whats in my bag blog. I hope it wasn't boring.

Happy Birthday Ate!!!!

Happy Birthday to this blog!!! I am super excited about today's event!!!
I almost missed my blog's birthday!!! It's been a whole year!!! It might not seem like a lot, but so many things happend in this one year. The Ate helped me to show the other side of me, which is not just school and science, it's more girly and more me. I'm also very happy about the friends that I made here. Thank you all so much!!!!
Later on today I will write a post about the contest, that I'm doing. I will not discuss the prize, but it's nice, so everyone is welcome to enter! All the rules and conditons will be posted in that post.
