Accessories of the day.

Since the post Outfit of the day didn't work out yesterday (I was in the airport till 10 pm), I decided to do a post on my favorite accessories of the moment. I recently bought this golden watch at Target and I love it!!! It was super cheap, and I really want to get the Michael Kors watch. But I put the MK watch on my birthday list (which is in August), and I didn't want to wait another few months till I get the watch that I really want, so I just went out and got this watch. It's not the best quality, and I think the gold will rub off till august (just in time for the new watch), but it's still a good replacement of MK watch. Especially, if you are not into watches, but would like to follow the golden boyfriend watch trend, this will do.
The bracelets are from American Eagle Outfitters. I believe, I got one of them for free, cause it was buy one get one free sort of deal. But they were $6.95 each on sale.

Less is more?
Let me know which look you like more. The one with the bracelets or the one that I called "less is more"?
Have a great Monday, everyone!

"Getting your toes wet" photographed by Nirrimi Hakanson

Hello, everyone!

Just a quick post, to let you know that I did not fall off the face of the Earth. Summer classes started. Tomorrow, we are hoping to go to the beach, and I'm praying for a good weather. There might be rain. I will probably do outfit of the day tomorrow night. So, please hold on. For now enjoy these pictures by Narrimi Hakanson. In them she "catches raw youth".

May Favorites!

Hi everyone! I almost forgot to do the monthly favorites, but youtube beauty gurus reminded me. In the month of May, I was light on the make up, but super abusing on my hair. Curling, staightening, brading, etc. You all, know that my favorite shampoo and conditioner is by Herbal Essences, so I did not include them in the picture. (Click here to see).

I also changed my face care rutine. I'm trying Proactive! I'm pretty desparate, I know. And I don't know if you remember, but I was scared to use it cause I thought that it would dry the hell out of my skin. Well, it's nothing like that! I like it. I just finished week 3 last night. I have the deep cleanser, regular cleanser, toner and spot treatmet cream.

Anyway, here are my favorites for the month of May:

1. Proactive solutions!!!
2. Fructis Style Full Control Hair spray. It doesnt leave your hair all stiff and doesn't make it feel like plastic. It holds well.
3. CHI 44 iron guard. I use it before I curl or straighten my hair. Just make sure that after you spay it on your hair, you air dry it as well. Cause i see some of the youtubers, telling people to go staight to styling, and you can see and hear their hair getting fried. Steam is hotter than the highest temp of any heat styling tool. So, just be careful.
4. Olay Quench self tanning lotion. Love it! Just do not over use it!
5. NYX lipgloss in color Beige. The application is super smooth and this color is very nice berry pink.
6. Voluminous Loreal Paris mascara with curved brush. I love it! And you've seen me talking about it few times here.
7. Sephora brand lipstick in lip attitude glamour G10. For me this is the perfect nude color without any hint of pink in it. I bought it last year, but did not use until the month of May. I cannot believe that I forgot about it!!
8. Mac greasepaint stick in color Dirty. I use it as an eyeliner. The color reminds me of a Satin Taupe eye shadow that I love!
9. Victoria's Secret sexy little things parfume NOIR. I love this parfume! It's the best VS parfume that I have ever smelled! Super delicate and feminine.
10. Mac Prep+Prime skin refined zone treatment. This thing minimizes pores. Works like magic! I apply it on my T zone, wait few minutes, and then apply foundation.
11. Mac eye shadow in Shale. I don't know why, but I keep coming back to this eye shadow. It's really cool. I would say, this should be your first eye shadow from MAC, that's how special this eye shadow is to me:)
12. Mac blush in color Dame (satin). I love this blush. I never thought that I would like it that much. I'm still trying to get my hands on Mac's cream blush in color Lady Blush. It's been sold out at my Mac counter for few weeks now:(
13. Lip balm by brand called One in berry delicious. I got this balm at Target and I have to say that I cannot stop putting this stuff on. The taste of it is so addictive! it was $3.
14. Sheshido bronzer. I got this bronzer 2 years ago and still going strong with it. You do not need a lot of it to get the best results. I wonder if they still have it. I will check it out and let you know.
15. Sephora brand blotting sheets. These sheets are not like the regular ones, they seem to be made out of plastic or rubber. They work very well and I believe I paid $10 for 50 sheets. It's a must have in summer.

And my last item of May favorites is this bag. I used this bag every single day in the month of May. I used to have a large Long Champ Tote, but it was too big for me and often got super heavy. So, I settled for the medium size one, and will not be going back to the large one. I will still use it for traveling but for every day this is my new friend.
I Hope you enjoyed this post
Please let me know
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PRODUCTS FROM THE MONTH OF MAY
xoxo, Olya
P.S. I keep forgeting to talk about Sex and The City 2. I saw it last Friday. And for about 2 days I could not form an opinion about it. It was ok, but yet not that great, I guess. I really did not like the fact that they all got really old. I hated very much the most of the outfits. I probably liked only 2 or 3. That's it!!! I dont know, I do not want to spoil it for the ones who hasn't seen it but it wasn't that good at all.
My favorite part of the movie? Well, it's the part where Samantha was yelling on top of her lungs to all the arab men on the street of Abu Dabi, That she LOVES SEX!!!!

Summer love

Warm summer night.

My Memorial Day weekend is going very well. I have plans for tomorrow to have a BBQ at our place and invite few friends over. Also, my boyfriend's cousin is coming to USA next weekend and this weekend her friend came. We picked her up at the airport. She will stay with us for few weeks. I like to have some company at home, it's always more fun!
Anyway, my point was, that tomorrow we will be drinking and having some classic American BBQ with friends and family. And today? Today I just slept in late and hung out with that girl, who's visiting.
Here is the Ate's Sunday usual: Outfit of the day post.

My outfit is 100% ZARA: shirt, shorts, and sandals. The sandals and shorts are new.
This weekend I was so excited to go buy some stuff for my friend (cause she doesn't have ZARA store near her); I like shopping even if it's not for me. And I saw these sandals in size 38 (US 8). And then, I found a pair in 37 in men's area! I was so happy!!! They are very simple, and they hurt my feet a little but I guess I still need to break them in. They do look cute though:)

Playing with Bella. She almost ran away from me. I had to chase her! In this picture she is about to jump out of my hands! Crazy little monstrer!!!

KM for French Vogue, June 2010

I'm finally putting the pictures of this editorial up because I think summer is officially here. Everyone I know is at the beach or at the pool and the weather is only getting better. And I've had these pictures saved on my computer for few weeks now, just didn't feel like it was the right moment for them.
This editorial screams SUMMER!!! KM is still looking good. My favorite shots are the ones where she's got glamorous hair going on (not her usual straight hair).
What are you guys doing this weekend? Beach, pool, park?

Feeling like myself again. It's about time.

This hot summer Wednesday reminded me of the days when I had time to hang out on the balcony and just tan(very summer 2008).
You gotta enjoy the first real days of summer before it gets to be the USUAL ( very hot and sticky). Cause then, you just feel like a steamed veggie:)
Anyway, this is what I wore today. I had a long waited (3 weeks) dentist appointment and then work. I have to say, I was very happy to find out that my teeth are in good condition and the only follow up appt I had to make is the one in 6 months.

American Eagle tank top, AA skirt, Zara sandals, Forever 21 necklace, Gap belt (old).

Continuing with the shopping haul. Part 2

So, today will be shoes and accessories haul. As I said, I'm definitely getting ready for summer, and to get the best things that are available in any store, you have to shop before it's sold out. Also, at the end of June sales will start on summer clothes, which means all the good stuff is gone! And don't get me wrong, I love reduced prices, it's just harder to find the right size or color once things go on sale.

My first Kate Spade. These are jelly sandals and I found them on Footnotesonline. This website is very good. My order arrived 2 days after I placed it, and it was just a regular ground shipping. Can't beat that! They were $60, which is a lot for a pair of plastic shoes, I get it. But they are so cute, I couldn't say no to myself.

Then, ZARA. Another store that I cannot say no to. I love it, though. Sandals on the right were $50, and the ones on the left were $30!!! Can you believe? $30!!! I think it's very cheap, and it doesn't look like every single pair of sandals that I saw in Macy's and Nordstrom, and etc. Which is the most important thing (to me). Both sandals are golden color and look great against tan skin. Super comfortable as well.

Moving on to the accessories: I stopped by the American Eagle and picked up few bracelets and rings. I was in the store few weeks ago and didn't buy anything for myself, cause I was on a mission to get gifts for others. So, this time around I shopped for me:)

I painted my nails with Essie Chinchilly. How do we like it?

Yay or Nay?

Last night's outfit.

The weather outdise was not coordinating with any sort of dress up, plus I went out with my friends to this new restaurant that has a very laid back atmosphere. The food was great, the company was even better! After the dinner we stopped by at Carvel for some ice cream. Not the best ice cream, but it hit the spot. Lol.

little beauty products haul

I'm doing another haul of the things I've bought over the last few weeks, because there are few exciting things that I would like to share with you. I guess, number one thing that I should mention is that I've been doing some serious summer shopping. And even though I haven't found that many things that I like, I did buy some stuff. I found few pairs of sandals and shorts, as well as new beauty products.
So, first we will talk about beauty products and then, maybe later on this coming week, I will blog about clothes.
As, you can tell, my obsession with nail polish doesn't stop. Now people are buying me nail polish! One of my co workers got me the wet n wild polish in Red Tape; very nice brush and color is super vibrant. So, thank you Mellisa!!!
Then, I got NYX eyeshadow pallete($7) in Jazz Night, which color wise reminds me of Kat Von D's Beethoven eyeshadow pallete. I still have to try these out, so I will get back to you on this.
I also got NYX mega shine lipgloss in 129 Beige ($4); it's not beige at all, it's actually pink, so I dont know where the name of it comes from. And I got Revlon colorburst lipstick in 025 Carnation ($7).
I like both the lip gloss and the lipstick.
From MAC I got 3 eyeshadows: shroom, nocturnelle, and sunny spot. And I got my first blush in such a long time which is in color Dame. I love this blush. I really wanted to buy the cream Lady Blush blush, but they didn't have it, so I went with this one and I do not regret it at all.
And last, nail polishes: OPI Srawberry Margarita, Sally Handen Gray by Gray and Iced Coffee, Wet n Wild Red Tape, and Essie Chinchilly.

On to the face and body products:

2 Epicuren face cleansers: Gelle and Citrus.
2 Caudalie make up removers: Small bottle liquid remover ( very good one, did not stress out my skin at all) and Big bottle cream make up remover (I've talked about this one before - my favorite!)
Olay self tanning lotion. Quench. Read on to see before and after pictures.
Loreal concealer. I haven't tried it yes, so cant say anything.
Bare Minerals powder in color fair. This is my second one. I like it, you know.
And, since I bought all these things in Sephora, I got a free sample of Michael Kors parfume "Hollywood". Not my taste, but It's not bad, I could wear it if I had nothing else. It's nice, just not me.

So, here is Wet 'n' Wild nail polish in 213B Red Tape. The color matches Vogue color!

Olay self tanning lotion for fair skin. I would have to say, that it works very well, and you can control the color intensity. For example, it says on the bottle to use it for 7 day to get best results. I used it only for 5 days and it was more than enough. I think if I was going to use it more it would turn my legs orange. Over all, good product and not expensive at all. I paid $6.99 at Face Value. And to reduce the color intensity you can just wash legs well in the shower.
Alright!!! This was a long post, I know. Let me know guys if you like these kind of posts. Cause if they are too annoying to read I will try to shorten them:)
Have a nice weekend!!!

Adriana Lima, Vogue Spain, June 2010.

When I was younger, I never understood why people were so into Adriana Lima. And I think my view of her changed two years ago, when she did a Christmas shoot for VS. I loved her in that catalog and since then, started to see her beauty. She is a really sexy woman. And her body is not a typical super model body. I would say it's more real. She's got the curves and she's got the fit form! And now, she's a mom, which gave her body even more of that feminine look.
Over all, she's beautiful!

I love Fridays even on Wednesdays:)

I came to a new finding! I love TGI Fridays! lol. They have such a nice service. I don't know, maybe it's just the Fridays that I go to. But anyway, I enjoyed my dinner. I'm on a work out crazy mode right now too. I run every single day, with no excuses! I mean, I have a treadmill in the house! So, really, NO EXCUSES!!! I hate that I stay late at work though. Cause I come home around 9 pm and then I have to work out, take a shower, dry my hair. But I decided that I use to do this all the time before, so why not now? So far I didn't see any changes in my body, except for legs! I have to admit: I love my legs! They are pretty powerful! lol
SO, on to the outfit of the day post.
I wore my absolute favorite shirt with padded shoulders from Forever 21, Gap boyfriend fit jeans, Steve Madden heels, and Coach wristlet/clutch.
I was trying to do a side braid, but my hair is still too short, it just looks like a mess. And I was also rocking my 2 finger ring from Forever 21!!! I have to say, that everytime I wear it, I get at least 10 or more people commenting on it. Mostly good comments:) Guys usually say that it reminds them of kastet. But girls like it.
make sure you check out the last picture!!! so typical me!!! my boyfriend said: OMG, your followers will think you are crazy!!!

Who's that handsome man?!

Hello, dear bloggers!
Today was a very important day in my life. My little brother had his First Communion. And I, his big sister, have to admit that I had a few emotional moments with tears in my eyes. It's just he grew up so fast!!! I was thirteen when this little munchkin was born. Crazy!!! And now, he's like this person in my life who I still treat like a little brother. However, today was like a day of letting go... letting go of the feeling that he is still a baby, and a feeling that he doesn't really know whats going on in life. Today he was SO NOT like a baby! He was very different to me today; serious and mature. He's grown up so much.
Anyway, I will stop talking about how much awakening I had today!!! lol
The weather was beautiful! I love the colors of these pictures. So fresh and vibrant!
I'm posting few pictures with Nick and then few vain pictures of myself.
I wore an H&M dress, and necklace from Lohmann's. Shoes - Aldo. Sunglasses - Ray Ban.
